Museum of peasant culture

The Museum of paesant cultur is located in Penna in Teverina, a village near Amelia. Francesco Catalano, passionate about horses, has bought a house in Penna in Teverina more than twenty-five years ago and he collects objects from the peasant civilization of the twentieth century, with which he created the Museum.

The museum is located next to the whole ancient oven of the village, precisely where there were once the cellars with caves used as refrigerators and woodsheds.

Restored and turned into a museum, by visiting it you’ll have the opportunity to know the history of the farmers of Umbria and the tools that in the past were used to work and to cultivate the land.
